The Institution

The IIS University (IISU) is a cosmopolitan and vibrant deemed to be university for the girls and is among the thirty eight universities in India placed in category 'A' by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. It is known for excellence in imparting meaningful education to the students and to encourage them to think innovatively. It particularly focuses on empowering women to face challenges of life with confidence and also to provide creative leadership in times to come.

Accounting and Taxation Department

The Department of Accounting and Taxation aims to provide excellence in accounting and tax education by offering programs that will prepare students to assume roles as accounting and taxation professionals in a global society. To this end, the Department offers a choice of educational programs leading to specializations in public accounting, controllership, or taxation. Our curricula, delivered in a student friendly environment, provide innovative and high-quality educational experiences that emphasize technical knowledge, analytical and communication skills, proficiency, and ethics.  In addition to their course work, accounting students have the opportunity to engage in real-world financial research and analysis. Our programs are strengthened both by the contributions made by our industry partners and the ethical philosophy of the University. Currently the department is running with 825 students and 14 Faculty members.
